Dear Friends and Community,
I am writing to share with you the incredible success of the Obamarama Rummage Sale on Saturday 9/6. Thousands of donated items to sell, dozens of tireless, generous volunteers, many hundreds of eager shoppers. This was Boulder at it's finest.
And for the fundraising results?
We raised over $19k from the sale itself! And what's more, a handful of anonymous donors stepped up to match every dollar we raised...SO....after expenses and with matching funds...
...WE RAISED OVER $37k for the Obama Campaign!!!
It is breathtaking and encouraging and gives me faith in the power of ordinary people accomplishing the extraordinary...like putting Obama in office where he can provide positive, visionary leadership even in the face of all the seeming obstacles.
Thank you all for your generous donations, for your time, your commitment, your encouragement, your enthusiastic effort.
With less than 60 days until the election, I know many of us are feeling the "fierce urgency of now" more than ever. NOW is the time to step up our participation, to speak out passionately and take bold action to create the world we want to live in. This is OUR TIME. Do not be discouraged. There is no time for apathy. You are not alone. And no matter what happens on November 4th, we will not stop.
